(Fox 13 – Tampa, Florida) – This past weekend, Mission Roll Call joined the Lightning Warriors Hockey Program and the Malone Family Foundation in Wesley Chapel, Florida, for the fifth annual Hockey Heals 22 event—22 straight hours of hockey dedicated to raising awareness around veteran suicide. As a partner organization, Mission Roll Call played a vital role in elevating the voices of veterans, ensuring the issue of suicide prevention remains front and center. The event honored the 22 veterans lost each day on average and served as a powerful platform to share stories, raise awareness, and connect struggling veterans with mental health resources.

Thanks to overwhelming community support and participation from veterans, first responders, and local athletes, the event raised approximately $65,000 to support suicide prevention efforts. Together, the partners behind Hockey Heals 22 are sending a clear message: when veterans are hurting, their communities will show up.
