I’d like to nominate Steven Ferguson, Marine Corps veteran and founder of Honorguard Coffee. After nine years of service and deployments to Afghanistan and Europe, Steven faced the invisible wounds of war. A self-trained service dog, Venus, helped him heal—and inspired the creation of Honorguard Coffee in 2023. From day one, Steven has pledged 25% of gross profits to veteran-led healing initiatives—spanning service dogs, peer support, and horticultural therapy. With nearly all of his team comprised of veterans, Steven keeps serving his community with purpose, passion, and perseverance—turning every cup of coffee into a beacon of hope and healing.
