BJ served in the Marine Corps Infantry from 1996–2005. After being critically injured in Iraq and losing his left leg, he leaned on his family and organizations like the Semper Fi Fund to rebuild his life. He started his nonprofit Sierra Delta to help veterans get grants for dog training.
