Veterans’ group calls on Congress to address health care, homelessness and more in 2026
(TNND) — The House passed a pair of bills Monday meant to make education and job training benefits more responsive to veterans’ needs.
Veterans are demanding help with transition assistance and career development, according to polling conducted by veteran service organization Mission Roll Call.
And Mission Roll Call’s CEO, 20-year Army veteran Jim Whaley, applauded the passage of those bills in the House.
But Whaley highlighted four areas of higher priority for veterans seeking help from Congress in 2026: access to quality health care, support for service-connected injuries and conditions, veteran suicide prevention, and housing access and homelessness prevention.
